You need no IT department and no prior knowledge. This guide takes you through the whole journey once: first Shopify (the foundation), then Kingsel (the field sales app), then onto your sales reps' phones. Realistic time needed: one afternoon.
Kingsel runs on Shopify — the world's most widely used commerce platform, trusted by over 4 million merchants. Shopify serves as a rock-solid database for your products, customers and orders. You never have to launch a webshop — you can use Shopify purely as a secure foundation for Kingsel. Why this combination is the most stable solution is explained on "Why Shopify".
About 30–60 minutes, once. If you already have a Shopify store, skip straight to stage 2.
Go to shopify.com, click "Start free trial" and follow the questions (email, your company name). For the plan, Basic is enough — from approx. $ 39 per month, paid directly to Shopify.
In the Shopify admin, on the left, go to "Products" → "Add product": name, price, photo — save. For large assortments there is an Excel/CSV import, or we'll help you with it.
You can add or import existing customers under "Customers" — but you don't have to: your sales reps will create new customers directly in Kingsel later, even on the road and without signal.
About 15 minutes. From here on, your Shopify store becomes a field sales headquarters.
In the Shopify admin, click "Apps" on the left, type "Kingsel" in the search field and click "Install". Shopify asks once for confirmation — and that was the entire installation.
Your products and customers appear automatically in Kingsel — nothing needs to be entered twice. Now add your specifics: special prices, volume tiers, units per pallet. One to two hours depending on your assortment, once.
In Kingsel, enter the name and email address of each sales rep — everyone automatically receives a personal invitation. Only invited people can get in at all.
About 5 minutes per device — no app store, no password.
The sales rep opens the invitation email on their phone and signs in with a code sent to them by email. No password that could be forgotten.
On first launch the app walks you through it: two taps, and Kingsel sits on the home screen like a regular app — including the offline data store for the road.
Switch the phone to flight mode and take a test order — with customer prices, entirely without a network. As soon as flight mode is off, the order is in Shopify. Your field sales team is ready to go.
